Description:
I want to practice stylized cartoony style again so I chose to make this piece. I use the concept art made by bigballgao from U-Match as a reference. I broke down modular pieces using power of 2 for the dimension. I used both procedural and atlas method for texturing. This time I did not bake normal for general modular pieces, but instead used the method called "Face weighted normals". This method saved me a lot of time and I can achieve a smooth surface using one smoothing group and without a normal map.
